Brilliant, Virtuosic, and Exhilarating
Pointeworks presents COMPOSITIONS: An Evening of Katie Jenkins, a celebration of Resident Composer Katie Jenkins featuring three original ballet commissions performed with live music.
Curated by Artistic Director Sophie Williams, the evening brings together an international cast of world-class artists for a program dedicated entirely to female voices in both choreography and composition.
The program features the return of Laine Habonyâs Chasing Shadows, for three dancers and solo piano, alongside Jacquelyn Longâs Moving Forces for six dancers, piano, and violin. The evening culminates in a world premiere by acclaimed choreographer HĂŠlène Simoneau, featuring a soaring new score for live string quartet.
