These roles are designed as short-term trial positions through our Summer 2026 season, with the intention of bringing one candidate into an ongoing administrative role following June.

  • San Diego / Remote | April – June 2026

    Pointeworks is seeking a Corporate Partnerships Associate to support sponsorship outreach and brand partnerships for our Summer 2026 performance, Nocturnes, on June 13 in La Jolla.

    This is a short-term, trial-based role through June 2026, with the opportunity to continue in an expanded positionbased on performance.

    The Opportunity

    You will work directly with the Artistic Director to:

    • Identify and pursue corporate sponsorship opportunities

    • Reach out to local businesses and community partners

    • Develop and pitch partnership opportunities

    • Support closing and execution of sponsorship agreements

    What Success Looks Like

    • Securing 1–3 partnerships ahead of June 13

    • Building relationships within the San Diego business community

    • Contributing to season funding goals

    Ideal Candidate

    • Background in performing arts or creative industries preferred

    • Based in San Diego or with strong local connections

    • Comfortable with outreach, pitching, and relationship-building

    • Self-directed and results-oriented

    Compensation

    • Commission-based:

      • 15% on cash sponsorships

      • 10% on in-kind partnerships

    • Performance bonuses:

      • $5,000 deal → +$500

      • $10,000+ deal → +$1,000

    (Optional flexibility for stipend + commission depending on candidate)

    Pointeworks is seeking a Patron Relations Associate to support donor engagement, audience development, and community-building efforts for our Summer 2026 season.

    This is a short-term trial role (through June 2026) with the potential to grow into a longer-term position for the right candidate.

    We strongly encourage current or former dancers or those with a background in the performing arts to apply.

    The Opportunity

    You will work directly with the Artistic Director to support:

    • Patron and donor communications (email outreach, follow-up, relationship management)

    • Engagement with existing supporters and audience members

    • Support for ticketing outreach and community engagement

    • Assisting with patron-facing events (open rehearsals, post-show gatherings)

    • Organizing and tracking patron interactions

    What Success Looks Like

    • Consistent, thoughtful communication with patrons

    • Increased engagement and retention of supporters

    • Strong execution of patron-facing experiences

    Ideal Candidate

    • Background in ballet or the performing arts (strongly preferred)

    • Based in San Diego or connected to the local community

    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

    • Organized, proactive, and detail-oriented

    • Interested in arts administration, development, or nonprofit work

    Compensation

    • Entry-level / apprentice structure:

      • Stipend or hourly (depending on experience)

      • Opportunity for performance-based bonuses

  • Pointeworks is seeking a lighting designer for a mixed repertory performance at The Conrad Prebys Performing Arts Center.

    Details:

    • Compensation: $500

    • Location: La Jolla, CA

    • Rehearsal Period (Studio): June 9–11 (approx. 6 total hours, scheduled in coordination with choreographers)

    • Tech & Dress Rehearsal: June 12 (full-day availability required)

    • Performance: June 13

    • Collaboration with: Stage Manager Hunter Pennington and choreographic team

Volunteer with Pointeworks – Summer 2026 (San Diego)

Pointeworks is seeking a small team of 5 volunteers to support our Summer 2026 season in San Diego, running May 25 – June 13, 2026.

This is a great opportunity for high school students, college students, or community members interested in the arts to gain hands-on experience supporting a professional ballet company.

Role Overview
Volunteers will assist with light, event-based support and community engagement throughout the season. Responsibilities may include:

  • Event check-in and guest welcome

  • Assisting with concessions or Pointeworks merchandise in the lobby

  • Supporting season events (set-up, light hospitality, distributing materials)

  • Helping share flyers and promote performances within the community

  • Acting as general support staff during performances and special events

Volunteers will work directly with Pointeworks’ Marketing & Events Outreach Coordinator, AvaRose Dillon, gaining insight into event production and audience engagement.

Commitment

  • Approx. 10 total hours across the season

  • Typically 2-hour shifts across ~5 events between May 25 – June 13

  • Flexible scheduling coordinated in advance
