Hannah Wood began her ballet training at North Atlanta Dance Academy in Alpharetta, Georgia, where she spent 11 years training and performing in North Atlanta Dance Theater productions. At age 14, she continued her studies at The HARID Conservatory of the Arts. Three years later, she joined Houston Ballet’s Ben Stevenson Academy, and in 2014, was selected as a member of Houston Ballet’s second company.
She joined Texas Ballet Theater in 2015 and has been with the company for 10 seasons. During her time with TBT, Wood has performed in a diverse repertoire, including Ben Stevenson’s Dracula, Christopher Bruce’s Ghost Dances, Christopher Wheeldon’s DGV: Danse à Grande Vitesse, and William Forsythe’s In the Middle, Somewhat Elevated. She has also danced the role of Winter Fairy in Stevenson’s Cinderella.
Wood has also performed Shibuya Blues by Annabelle Lopez Ochoa, Maple Leaf Rag by Martha Graham, and Jabula, choreographed by Natalie Weir.
In March 2025, Wood will join Pointeworks for its Season 2 NYC Tour, performing in an original work by DaYoung Jung. Her versatility and artistry continue to shape her as a dynamic force in both classical and contemporary ballet
