Pointeworks II: Ballet Nights

Pointeworks presents Ballet Nights, an evening of dance curated by Artistic Director Sophie Williams that beautifully blends ballet tradition with innovation. The Summer 2025 Season features three exciting premieres by visionary choreographers Reka Gyulai, Laine Habony, and DaYoung Jung, alongside Christopher Wheeldon’s enchanting "Carousel" duet, performed with live piano accompaniment.

Reka Gyulai, a local favorite, returns after the success of Off Beat, bringing another evocative piece. Laine Habony, a brilliant choreographer from New York City Ballet, debuts a work set to an original score by Katie Jenkins. DaYoung Jung will present a stunning West Coast premiere from Pointeworks’ repertoire.

With a dynamic cast of 12 international dancers, Ballet Nights promises a captivating performance that celebrates the richness of classical and contemporary styles while highlighting creative collaborations in choreography, music, and visual art.
