POLINA CHEREZOVA
Polina Cherezova is a Russian American pianist and arts journalist based in Los Angeles. She is an alumna of the University of Southern California where she received her Master’s degree in arts journalism while studying piano performance at the Thornton School of Music under the instruction of Antoinette Perry.
Cherezova has performed solo concerts across venues in Los Angeles. Her musical career has taken her abroad to Italy where she performed at international music festivals including Music Fest Perugia and Amalfi Coast Music & Arts Festival. In the summer of 2016 she made her European orchestral debut performing Chopin’s Piano Concerto No.2 in F minor in Perugia, Italy with the University of Alicante Symphony.
Cherezova’s passion for telling stories through music has made its way into her professional journalistic work. Her interests lie in breaking traditional boundaries within the arts and her award-winning work has been featured on local NPR stations KCRW, KPCC, and KQED, as well as in Spectrum News, CULTURED magazine, The LA Phil, and others.
